Why Hampshire businesses build with Atelier
Three habits that keep county clients with us for years
Local Roots
Rooted in Hampshire for 25 years, building for organisations from Andover to the coast. The kick-off meeting is a drive, not a flight.
360 Offer
Strategy, design, build and marketing share one roof and one plan, which is why our builds launch with their SEO and tracking already wired in.
Partnership
Builds here come with a future: documented code, trained editors and a support desk that already knows your website inside out.
Websites your team can actually run
Freedom to edit, confidence it will not break.
Across Hampshire we regularly meet teams stuck with websites they cannot edit – locked-down CMS’, agency dependencies and invoices for every text change.
Our builds reverse that. Pages, blocks, menus and media all sit in your hands, structured so an enthusiastic editor cannot accidentally bring the site down.
Build specialisms for Hampshire organisations
B2B technical
Specification-heavy product ranges, dealer portals and CRM-fed pipelines: B2B development that supports how Hampshire’s industrial and technical firms actually sell.
Professional services
Client portals, secure document exchange and system integrations for the county’s professional firms, built to their compliance standards.
E-commerce
Hampshire retailers get ecommerce that scales: WooCommerce and Shopify storefronts tied into stock, payments and fulfilment.
Charity
Atelier Impact, our charity arm, develops accessible platforms with donation systems and charity CRM integrations built in.

How the website development process works
Scope
We document what the website must do: features, integrations, content types and the CMS that fits. Agreed before we start coding.
Architect
Infrastructure and information design considered hand in hand, with consideration to how data moves between systems.
Build
Development in tidy, reviewable increments, with editable components and progress you can see on a staging site.
Test
Cross-device, performance, security and accessibility checks, then a structured UAT window for your team.
Launch and support
Go-live handled end to end, redirects and monitoring included, with training and ongoing support to follow.
The technical scope is written down and priced before work starts, which is why our Hampshire clients do not experience invoice surprises.
Afterwards we stay close – monitoring, maintenance and a steady stream of sensible improvement suggestions based on performance.
Clear scope, kept promises
Fixed pricing and a build that arrives as specified.
25 years of Hampshire builds
We have been developing websites from Hampshire soil since 2001, for organisations in every corner of the county and well past its borders.
Working sessions happen at Arena Offices in Southampton or at yours. Either way, you will be talking directly to your project team.

Hampshire website development questions
What platforms do you develop on?
Mostly WordPress, by deliberate choice after hundreds of builds, plus WooCommerce, Shopify and headless setups where the requirements point that way. Platform follows purpose.
Our current CMS is locked down. Can you free us?
That is one of our most common Hampshire projects. We migrate locked-down websites onto builds where your team edits everything, and we train you until it sticks.
Can you inherit and improve an existing build?
Yes. An audit comes first, covering code quality, security and hosting; then a prioritised plan. Several long-standing clients started as rescues.
Is hosting part of the service?
If you want it. Managed hosting with monitoring, backups and updates is available, or we deploy to your infrastructure with full documentation either way.
How are integrations handled?
Specified up front and tested like features, because that is what they are. CRMs, ERPs, payment gateways, booking systems and marketing stacks are all familiar territory.
Will the site be fast?
It will be built to be. Performance budgets, lean templates and proper caching are part of the build standard, not an optimisation project afterwards.
What does the timeline look like?
Most builds land eight to twelve weeks after designs are approved. Integration-heavy and ecommerce projects take longer, and we will tell you that before you commit.
Who ends up owning everything?
You: code, content, configuration and documentation. If you ever leave, you leave with a complete, working asset.
Do you offer design as well as development?
We do, as one connected service. The design side has its own website design in Hampshire page if you want the detail.
How does SEO fit into a build?
It is baked into the scope: redirects, structure, schema, metadata and speed all handled during development so launch day does not cost you rankings.
How is a build priced?
Against the documented scope. Templates, features, integrations and migration effort drive it, and the itemised quote lets you trim or phase.
Where in Hampshire do you work?
Everywhere from Basingstoke down to the coast, with Southampton as home base. Beyond the county too: Dorset, Sussex and London feature regularly.
