Project Overview

We migrated Jewellery Lab from Wix to Shopify, designing and building an elegant ecommerce store that reflected the handmade quality of the brand and gave customers a polished, intuitive shopping experience across bracelets, earrings, rings and necklaces.

Project brief

Jewellery Lab is a UK-based handmade jewellery brand selling bracelets, earrings, rings, necklaces and anklets. Each piece is designed and made by hand, with great care going into the curation of every item to ensure they are unique and stylish. The brand also offers bespoke pieces, made live on TikTok where customers can claim their favourites.

Jewellery Lab’s existing website was built on Wix and had outgrown the platform. The design didn’t reflect the quality of the products, the shop lacked the flexibility the business needed, and the site wasn’t set up to compete in search. They needed to move to Shopify and launch with a design that felt as elegant and considered as the jewellery itself.

The brief was to create a clean, pretty store with warm tones and beautiful product presentation, backed by a properly structured ecommerce setup and SEO foundations from day one.

Our approach

Design & theme customisation

The design was built around a warm, elegant palette of soft pinks, creams and neutral tones that let the product photography do the talking. Large hero banners showcased the jewellery in styled lifestyle settings, while a mega menu gave customers clear navigation across product categories, bespoke pieces and informational pages. The overall feel was clean and feminine, with enough space to let the handmade quality of the brand come through without the site ever feeling cluttered.

Reviews, blog & community

A reviews section was integrated to build trust and social proof, sitting prominently on the homepage. A blog was set up to support content marketing and give the brand a space to share stories, styling tips and new releases. A VIP membership signup was included to grow the mailing list, offering 20% off a first order to new subscribers.

SEO setup

Before launch, we completed a full SEO setup including page titles and meta descriptions across the site, robots.txt configuration, sitemap submission to Google and redirect mapping from the old Wix URLs. Google Analytics was connected to track performance from day one, giving Jewellery Lab visibility of how customers were finding and using the new site.

The result

Jewellery Lab launched on Shopify with a store that matched the care and quality of the products. The design elevated the brand, the migration was seamless, and the SEO foundations gave the business a head start in search from day one.
