CMS Migrations done properly
Most businesses migrate their CMS for the same reason. Your website is fine to look at but a nightmare to edit – every typo, banner change or new landing page becomes an agency ticket.
We resolve this by giving you the interface, flexibility and training to manage your website content edits yourself – while preserving all the good stuff you have built up over the years.
- Editing freedom from day one – block-based, easy-to-use admin so your team can update pages, banners, products and campaigns without raising a ticket.
- Zero loss of SEO equity – thorough redirect mapping, structured data and meta data ported across so rankings hold steady through go-live.
- Content imported, not retyped – we move your pages, posts, products, images and metadata across automatically, no copy-paste marathons for your team.
- Integrations preserved – we reconnect your CRM, marketing tools, payment gateways and analytics so nothing important goes dark.
- Performance lift – lean code, modern hosting and Core Web Vitals tuning, so your new site is faster than the one you are leaving behind.
- Training and documentation included – your team leaves the project knowing exactly how to manage the new site, with written guides to refer back to.
Trapped in a CMS you cannot edit? Let’s get you out. No deposit, no hard sell.
Our tried-and-tested CMS migration process
Discovery and audit
We get under the bonnet of your existing site, audit content, integrations, SEO and editing pain points, and recommend the right destination platform for your team and your budget.
Migration plan
A clear plan covering platform choice, content mapping, redirect strategy, integrations and a realistic timeline. Marketing teams, finance teams and stakeholders all get a document they can actually understand.
Build and content port
We build your new site in parallel with the old one running. Content, products, customers and integrations are imported automatically wherever possible, with manual checks where it counts.
SEO And QA
Redirect mapping, structured data, meta data, sitemaps and broken-link checks all sorted before launch. Cross-browser, multi-device and Core Web Vitals testing make sure the new site outperforms the old.
Launch and aftercare
A planned, low-risk go-live with monitoring and a watching brief while traffic settles in. Backed by a generous warranty period and PAYG or pay-monthly support, hosting and maintenance.

Everything you need to know
Will I lose my SEO when I migrate?
Not if it is done properly. SEO preservation is a core part of every migration we run. We map every old URL to its new equivalent, set up 301 redirects, port across structured data and meta data, and submit a fresh sitemap on go-live. Most migrations we deliver hold steady or grow in organic traffic within a couple of months.
Should I move to WordPress, Shopify, or something else?
It depends on what your website needs to do. WordPress is brilliant for content-led and informational sites, and works beautifully for content marketing teams. Shopify is hard to beat for retail-led ecommerce. WooCommerce makes sense when ecommerce sits alongside a strong content site. Headless is right when you need flexibility, scale or speed beyond what a traditional CMS offers. We will recommend the right fit for your team, not the one that suits us.
Can you migrate orders, customers and stock as well as content?
Yes. For ecommerce migrations we move products, variants, categories, customers, order history, reviews, gift cards and stock levels across so that trading carries on without a gap. We also reconnect payment gateways, shipping providers, analytics and any third-party integrations along the way.
Do we have to retype all our content?
No, that is the whole point of a migration. We import pages, posts, products, images, files and metadata automatically wherever possible. Where content has to be reshaped to fit a better structure, we do that with you, not to you.
How long does a migration take?
Informational migrations typically run between 4 and 8 weeks, ecommerce migrations between 8 and 16 weeks, depending on the size of the catalogue and the integrations involved. We will give you a detailed timeline as part of your quote.
Can my team manage the new website ourselves?
Yes, and that is one of the main reasons most clients come to us. We migrate onto systems with proper block-based editing, and provide free in-depth training plus written documentation, so you can build new pages, run promotions and update content without needing a developer.
What if my current CMS is custom-built or unsupported?
We see a lot of these. Bespoke systems built years ago by an agency that no longer exists, or platforms that stopped getting security updates back in 2018. We can usually extract content directly from the database or via export tools, and we will be straight with you if anything looks tricky.
How much does a CMS migration cost?
That is a bit like asking a builder how much a house extension costs. Without an idea of scope, anything we said would be pulling a figure out of the air. Have a quick chat with us about your current site and goals, and we will come back with a sensible price range. Send us a brief or functionality list and we can give you a fixed price.
